De Book Worm meets Digital Awakening

I met Peter Tan today. In our brief first meeting at the Manhattan Fish Market, Ikano Power Centre, I was only keenly aware of one thing - the bond between Peter and Wuan, the woman I've read so much about, the object of Peter's affection. Wuan comes across as a very strong person. She has to be. Being strong and supportive of Peter and I think the love they share is tougher than an ordinary bond required of any relationship. I marvel at their love that saw beyond the physical; a love that communicates beyond that, is like an oak tree that will stand strong against the unkind elements of life.

There was an ease in their conversation and ours as well as we chatted about the fate of Peter's wheelchair in the hands of our national airlines with the golden service. We talked about Penang durians and high rise apartments, renovation costs and land reclamation which will render million dollar properties worthless in years to come. We even talked about the Jaya Jusco Members Sale! Much too soon, we had to part ways. This was Peter's first visit to Ikano/Curve and there was much more to see for the rest of their day there.

Peter initiated a Blogger's Meet this Sunday at MidValley. I think I will see him there again. And Wuan too.
