Charmed in the morning and had Saturday Nite Lala Fever
I always get excited when I know there are plans to meet up with friends. And even more so when they are coming over to the Curve, which means, I don't have to travel downtown to meet them! (there's a reason for this but I will talk about it some other time.)
So, on Saturday morning, it came to pass that the Bkworm met up with her charmed sisters outside Marche for an anticipated day of coffee and chatting. And what do you know? I still received presents a week after my birthday. *grins*

The pair of bracelets were from Maddy and the mobile phone strap from Fay. *muah, muah, muah* to them - I know they are reading this!
We sat awhile in Starbucks and then adjourned to Kluang Station for a quick lunch.
Fay and Maddy had mee siam while I ordered the plain nasi lemak. Easier on the pocket and the stomach. The girls have not been to my home since I moved here last year, so they wanted to come by and have a look-see.
Back in those days before we bought our own house, I used to imagine throwing parties and have monthly get-togethers once we have a place to call our own. But now that we do, I've not had anyone over except for family and very close friends; reason being, there's just not enough space to accomodate large crowds. We've not even had a proper housewarming! Anyway, (how did I get into all that??), the three of us chatted, giggled and laughed like little girls all the way back to my place. The minute they were shown into my humble little apartment, everything fell into a hush. I didn't know whether it was reverence or shock or just seeing Papa Bkworm smiling warmly to welcome them. Probably it was just our polite Asian culture taking over for an instant. Then the chatter started again. *sigh of relief*
Later in the evening.....
Took my dad along for my birthday dinner, (yes, this is the second time around!) at La-La Chong Seafood Restaurant near the old Subang Airport, one of my favourite restaurants. We were supposed to come here a week ago but I was still in 'recovery', so we postponed it. Better late than never! I am salivating just reliving those 'gastronomic' memories. Let me share some of it with you.... (click on pics. for larger view)
Sweet And Sour Crabs
Seong Tong Lala (lala cooked in superior stock)
Claypot Taufu (Beancurd)
Four Angled Beans with Dried Shrimps
Plain buns dipped in the sweet and sour crab sauce - yummy!
